Most physicians only order one diagnostic medical ultrasound to be performed at 20 wks to determine the health and if possible the gender of the baby. The ultrasound exam should be one of the highlights of the pregnancy, however many settings have technologists that are not concerned about making sure that the patients are able to adequately see their ultrasound exam. They often fail to print pictures for their patients and they rarely explain the medical exam.

Utah Valley Ob Ultrasound tries to offer a friendly environment where parents can feel reassured and comfortable.

Effort is given to explain the medical aspects of their ultrasound exam. Effort is also given to explain what is happening with their baby during the medical ultrasound exam.
